Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026
Marsh Dog Media ("we," "us") builds websites and manages social media for small businesses in Georgetown, SC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to marshdogmedia.com and to the Marsh Dog Media app we use to post to Facebook and Instagram for our clients.
Information we collect
When you contact us
Our website has no forms, accounts, or sign-ups. If you email or call us, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the details of your message.
Through our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) integration
When a client connects their Facebook Page or Instagram professional account to our app, we receive and store only what we need to manage that account for them:
- Page and Instagram account access tokens, which Meta issues so our app can post on the client's behalf
- Facebook Page IDs, Instagram account IDs, and basic account details such as the Page name
- The content we create and publish for the client (posts, captions, images, and scheduling details), plus related information Meta returns, such as post IDs
We do not collect the personal friends lists, private messages, or personal profile data of a client's followers.
Website visits
The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site.
How we use information
- To reply to your questions and provide the services you ask for
- To create, schedule, and publish content to our clients' Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts at their direction
- To keep our services secure and working properly
We never sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.
Retention
We keep contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and provide our services. Meta access tokens and account IDs are kept only while the client's account is connected, and are deleted when the client disconnects the app, ends service with us, or asks us to delete them. Copies of posted content may stay in our working files for the length of the engagement. Content already published on Facebook or Instagram stays there until the client removes it.
Third parties
We share information only with the service providers we need to run our business:
- Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram): to publish content through the Meta APIs. Meta's own privacy policy applies to its platforms.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and security.
- Google Workspace: our business email.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Security
We limit access to client tokens and data to people who need it to do the work, and we use reputable providers that encrypt data in transit.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your information at any time. See our Data Deletion page for how.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
